Excited Delirium – A Life-Threatening Condition

Excited delirium is a life-threatening condition often brought about by a combination of chemical abuse and underlying medical conditions which can precipitate a cardiac arrest when being restrained by law enforcement or EMS. Understanding the signs and symptoms of this condition can better prepare you to avoid this tragic outcome. Through the use of appropriate sedatives, judicious restraint techniques and a team approach with law enforcement we can be successful in dealing with this potentially lethal condition.

What the heck is with the background music? It's so hard to concentrate on what the speakers are saying. This is an important topic and the music has taken away from the educational value of this video. Anyway to edit it out? Please???
